It's tough to find things to do if you're bored on a week night. Thankfully, there are various venues and means of entertainment in the area.
Ideally, these are things outside the normal bar specials, within walking distance, and/or available to people under 21.
- Open Mic Night / Band Jam at the Blind Tiger on Walker Ave hosts a range of musicians from the area, including some up-and-coming UNCG-student bands. Anyone can sign up, under 21s welcome. As a bonus, all beers are $1 on Mondays. 8:30-ish-midnight, free.
- BURLESK! Burlesque Show at Artistika on Elm St, first Friday of every month. Burlesque is, more often than not, more witty and charming than purely sexual. That said, there are always scantily clad ladies. Usually $10, 18+
- First Fridays in Downtown Greensboro. Shops and galleries open their doors in the evening for visitors to browse and interact with the artists. Most galleries have a nice selection of free food. 6:00-9:00 pm, free.
